XR16

The XR16 is a portable or rack-mountable digital mixer with no physical control surface. Mixing is done from the free X AIR apps on iPad, Android devices and PC/Mac/Linux. It has 8 programmable Midas-designed mic preamps and 8 line inputs. Rack ears and protective bumpers are included.

Each input channel has a low-cut filter, 4-band parametric EQ, a gate and a compressor, with Expert and Simple modes. Six aux buses and the Main L/R bus provide monitor mixes or a dedicated mix for recording. Four onboard effects engines from the X32 offer reverbs, delays, chorus, dynamics and emulations of classic compressors and equalizers. A 100-band real-time analyzer and X AIR Gain Sharing automixing for up to 8 microphones are also included.

The built-in WiFi module works as an access point for up to 4 clients, or joins an existing wireless network. There is also an Ethernet port for wired connection to a computer or LAN. A front-panel USB type-A port records an uncompressed stereo mix to a flash drive or hard drive, and also handles system updates. A MIDI I/O port connects external controllers.
