The AXC35 is a single-disc CD player from the AX Series. It uses a Wolfson Microelectronics WM8524 digital-to-analogue converter followed by a 2-pole Butterworth filter, and plays discs without gaps between tracks, which suits live albums and classical recordings.
Besides the analogue output, it has a digital coaxial (S/PDIF) output for connecting to compatible amplifiers or external DACs. It is designed to work with any amplifier or existing audio setup. A digital display and LED indicators show playback status, and a remote control is supplied.
The player shares the AX Series styling: a Lunar Grey fascia, a black steel cabinet and a floating base. It measures 75 x 430 x 305 mm and weighs 4.3 kg. Maximum power consumption is 15 W, falling to below 0.5 W in standby.
