The compass is a belt-driven turntable supplied fully assembled, with a T1 radial tonearm and an N1 moving-magnet cartridge already fitted. The plinth is medium-density fibreboard in silver or black, with a steel base plate for added mass and a hinged acrylic dust cover with stainless-steel hinges.
A 12 V DC motor drives the platter through a ground flat belt. The platter is 20 mm high-density acrylic on a CNC-turned aluminium sub-platter, running on a hardened steel spindle in a bronze bushing on a Teflon thrust surface. Speed (33 ⅓ or 45 rpm) is chosen with a toggle switch on the underside, and the tonearm is lowered with a turned aluminium lift lever. Height-adjustable feet include built-in decoupling.
The T1 arm has cable-based anti-skating and a 1.1 m Direct Wire PLUS signal cable terminated with RCA (Cinch) plugs. Power comes from a plug-in supply designed for use worldwide, and the manufacturer states a two-year warranty subject to registration.
