Osmo Action 4 is a small action camera built around a 1/1.3-inch sensor with an f/2.8 aperture and 2.4 μm-equivalent pixel size. It records 4K video at up to 120fps, offers a 155° ultra-wide field of view (up to 4K/60fps, with stabilisation off) and supports 10-bit D-Log M colour. Stabilisation options include RockSteady 3.0, 360° HorizonSteady and HorizonBalancing up to ±45°.
The body is waterproof to 18 m without a case and has front and rear water-repellent touchscreens, a magnetic quick-release mount and a Quick Switch button with voice prompts. Native vertical shooting needs the Horizontal-Vertical Protective Frame. The battery is designed to work in cold conditions, with about 150 minutes of recording at -20°C, and charges to 80% in 18 minutes with a 30W USB-C charger. Other functions include Pre-Rec, Highlight markers, InvisiStick selfie-stick removal, timecode sync, Wi-Fi livestreaming and three microphones.
It works with the DJI Mimo and LightCut apps, can pair directly with a DJI Mic 2 or Mic Mini transmitter without a receiver (sold separately), and accepts a range of mounts, cases and a GPS Bluetooth remote controller, all sold separately.
