Ronin-SC

Ronin-SC is a handheld three-axis gimbal built from magnesium, aluminum and high-strength composite materials. It folds for transport and is designed for mirrorless cameras, with a tested payload of up to 2.0 kg; counterweights may be needed for balancing, depending on what is mounted. The roll axis arm is raised so it does not block the camera's built-in display, and the pan axis can move continuously.

Shooting aids include Sport mode for fast follows and sudden direction changes, plus automated Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse and Motion Control. ActiveTrack 3.0 works with a smartphone mounted above the camera and the Ronin app to follow a subject. Force Mobile lets the user steer the gimbal by tilting and rotating a smartphone. Axis locks on each arm help with storage and balancing, and the quick-release plate has a positioning block that remembers the camera position.

The Ronin app provides preset scenarios, a camera balancing guide and tutorials. Shutter and focus control is available for most camera brands. Optional accessories include dual handles, a focus motor and focus wheel, a command unit, a cheese plate, an L-bracket plate with counterweight, a phone holder and the BG18 grip.
