NeoDots are true wireless earbuds that pair a balanced armature driver with a 10mm dynamic driver in each earpiece. Digital signal processing and an active crossover split the sound between the two. Active noise cancellation is quoted at up to -48dB, with several noise cancelling modes and adjustable ambient sound levels.
Bluetooth 5.4 carries A2DP, AVRCP and HFP profiles and the LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs. LDAC is rated at 990 kbps and works only with Android devices. Multipoint lets the earbuds stay connected to two devices at once, and Google Fast Pair speeds up pairing on Android 6.0 and later. Gaming mode lowers latency to 80ms, and wearing detection pauses playback when an earbud is removed.
With ANC off, the earbuds run for up to 17 hours and the case adds 39 hours more. With ANC on the figures are 12 and 28 hours. A 15-minute charge gives about 5 hours of playback. The case charges over USB-C or wirelessly. Beamforming microphones and an AI algorithm handle calls. The IP55 rating covers dust and splashes. The EDIFIER ConneX app provides preset and custom EQ, device renaming, prompt volume and a power-off schedule.
