Tuk Passive 2nd Gen is a passive bookshelf speaker pair built around a 28 mm x 35 mm Air Motion Transformer tweeter and a 5.25-inch Aircomb aluminum woofer in each cabinet. The woofer extends the response down to 50 Hz, and the tweeter reaches 22 kHz. The cabinet has been redesigned with a hand-built finish and is offered in Matte White.
Because the speakers are passive, they need an external amplifier that is compatible with 4-ohm speakers. This lets the owner change electronics and source components later while keeping the same speakers. Each speaker is rated at 130 W peak (65 W RMS).
The base has a threaded ¼"-20 mounting hole for secure stand or bracket mounting. Each speaker measures 7.2" W x 10" D x 12" H and weighs 11.5 lb. The pair ships with eight rubber feet and a manual.
