R11 Meta
The R11 Meta is a passive three-way floorstanding loudspeaker and the largest model in KEF's R Series. It combines a 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with four 6.5-inch bass drivers, and suits listeners who want a full-range stereo or home theatre speaker.

The R11 Meta is a passive, three-way bass reflex floorstanding speaker. A 12th generation Uni-Q array places a 25 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter at the centre of a 125 mm aluminium midrange cone, so both work as a single point source. Metamaterial Absorption Technology is fitted to the tweeter to absorb unwanted sound radiated from the rear of the driver. Four 165 mm hybrid aluminium cone bass units handle the low end, with crossover points at 330 Hz and 2.5 kHz.
The cabinet uses constrained layer damping with internal braces to reduce vibration. Shadow Flare shaping around the Uni-Q array reduces high-frequency diffraction at the cabinet edges, and the bass ports have flexible walls shaped to limit turbulence. Magnetically attached microfibre grilles are included, and the speaker is designed to perform with or without them.
As a passive speaker it needs an external amplifier, with a recommended output of 15 to 300 W. It is offered in Black Gloss, White Gloss and Walnut finishes and can be paired with matching R Series models for home theatre use.
