The AV8805A is a surround processor with no built-in power amplification. It decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, MPEG-H and Auro-3D, and supports up to 13.2 preamplified channels. Room correction is handled by Audyssey MultEQ XT32, and the signal path uses 15 HDAM circuit modules, current-feedback topology and a clock jitter filter.
Video handling covers eight HDMI inputs (seven rear, one front) and three outputs, including eARC, with 8K/60 and 4K/120 pass-through and scaling. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, VRR, ALLM, QMS and QFT are supported, as is HDMI pass-through in standby.
Network functions come from HEOS: multi-room streaming, AirPlay, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, plus services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Deezer, Amazon Music, Qobuz and TuneIn. Multichannel pre-outs are provided on both RCA and XLR, with two independent subwoofer outputs and three zones of multi-room output. Control options include IP, RS-232, app and IR.
