The Drivemaster Vintage Reissue is a single-channel overdrive pedal built on the design of the original Guv'nor, with a revised tone and drive network. Its three-band equaliser is intended to behave like an extra amp stage in front of your rig, letting you push the signal into Marshall-style overdrive while shaping lows, mids and highs separately.
Controls are Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Volume. The pedal is handmade in the maker's UK factory in a mild steel chassis, and the original's shape, colour scheme and control-knob finish have been recreated closely, in black and red.
Connection is simple: one 1/4" jack input and one 1/4" jack output. It runs from an internal 9V battery or from a 9V DC power adaptor, which is not supplied. The unit weighs 0.7 kg without a battery.
