Emberton III is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker with a sealed cabinet, two 2-inch 10 W full-range drivers and two passive radiators, driven by a 2x38 W Class D amplifier. The True Stereophonic design spreads sound in multiple directions, and Dynamic Loudness adjusts the tonal balance as the volume changes. Compared with the Emberton II it is described as having more bass, a wider soundstage and improved quality at the highest volume steps.
The housing carries an IP67 dust and water rating, allowing submersion at 1 m for up to 30 minutes. Battery life is stated as 32+ hours, with a full charge in about 2 hours and 6 hours of playback from a 20-minute quick charge. A built-in microphone supports hands-free calls, and the battery and several internal parts are user-replaceable, with spare parts offered through the maker.
It connects over Bluetooth 5.3 LE with a range of up to 100 m in free field, supports multipoint connection and is ready for Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast. A multi-directional control jog on the top panel handles playback, and the Marshall Bluetooth app for iOS and Android is supported. Charging is over USB-C.
