StudioTracker

The StudioTracker is a dual-magnet moving-magnet stereo cartridge. Its generator uses two low-mass magnets set in a V formation, parallel to the stereo groove walls. This layout is modelled on the cutting head of a lacquer lathe, such as the one used at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab.

The stylus is a bonded elliptical diamond on an aluminum cantilever, mounted in a polymer body. The sound is described as rich, with a smooth and slightly forgiving top end. Output is 3.5 mV, with a recommended tracking force of 1.8–2.2 g and a weight of 6.4 g.

As an MM design it works with a standard moving-magnet phono input. Load figures are 47 kOhm impedance and 100 pF capacitance. A manual and a cartridge brochure are available as downloads.
