The HP30 is a closed-back, on-ear headphone built around 40 mm dynamic drivers with a nominal impedance of 32 ohms. It uses the maker's RoomFeel technology and has a stated frequency response of 10–20,000 Hz at -10 dB, with 15–20,000 Hz at -3 dB and 20–20,000 Hz at ±1.5 dB. Total harmonic distortion is given as 0.25% at 1 kHz/1 mW.
The headband is made of manganese steel and is adjustable. The driver housings are ABS and polycarbonate, and the earpads and headpad are covered in cloth. The headphones fold for transport and come with a leatherette travel case. Net weight without the cable is 187 g.
It connects through a 3.5 mm stereo jack. The 1.2 m flat, tangle-free cable is detachable and includes a 3-button in-line remote with a microphone. A 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm gold-plated plug adaptor, an airplane adaptor and a carabiner are supplied. Finishes listed are gloss black, gloss white and gloss red.
