The SR-CA is a shoe adapter that sits between a compatible Sony camera's MI shoe and a Saramonic Ultra or Mix wireless microphone receiver. Audio travels digitally through the shoe, so the camera records the wireless signal with no cable between receiver and camera and no cable-related disconnections.
A fold-out mount holds the Ultra and Mix receivers against any camera that has an MI shoe. The adapter weighs under 0.5 oz and adds about 1.5 in of height when mounted. Recording can be set to Mono, Stereo or Safety Track mode through the camera's MI shoe input.
Listed compatible cameras are the Sony ZV-E1, ZV-E10, a1, a7C, a7C II, a7CR, a7S III, a7R IV, a7R IVA, a7R V, a9 II, a9 III, a6700, FX30 and FX3. The product comes with a 2-year global warranty, under which defective units are replaced rather than repaired.
