The SR-MV2000W is a USB studio microphone with a large diaphragm and a custom-tuned cardioid capsule. The pickup pattern favours the voice in front of the mic and reduces sound from the sides and rear, which helps in rooms that have not been acoustically treated. It is aimed at podcasting, livestreaming, voice-over work, broadcasting and virtual meetings.
Setup needs no drivers or software. An onboard input level control sets the gain, and a multi-colour LED meter shows the level as you adjust it. A 3.5 mm headphone output supports both zero-latency direct monitoring and real-time monitoring through software.
The microphone connects to computers over USB-A or USB-C. It also works with iPhone 15, Android devices and USB-C iPads; iPhones and iPads with a Lightning port need a Lightning-to-USB adapter, which is sold separately. The magnetic desktop stand absorbs vibration and desk bumps and detaches, so the mic can be mounted on a boom arm or a standard microphone stand.
