The PGA56 is a dynamic microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern, made for close-miking snare drums and toms. Its flat-response cartridge is tailored to reproduce the sound source clearly, while the polar pattern favours the source and rejects unwanted noise from the sides and rear.
A swivel joint with a quick-release latch, modelled on bicycle component-locking designs, allows fast positioning. A drum mount is included, so the mic attaches directly to a drum rim without a separate stand. The body has a black metallic finish with a grille, giving it a discreet look on the kit.
The microphone is sold either on its own or with a 4.57 m XLR-to-XLR cable. A zipper pouch is supplied for storage and transport.
