The PGA98D is a cardioid condenser microphone built for close-miking drums and percussion. Its cartridge is tailored to reproduce drum and percussion sources clearly, and the cardioid pickup pattern favours the source while rejecting unwanted noise from the sides and rear.
A flexible gooseneck makes it easy to aim the capsule accurately, and a molded one-piece drum mount allows quick, low-profile fitting and removal. The body has a black metallic finish with a matching grille, giving an unobtrusive look on stage or in the studio. A zipper pouch is supplied for storage and transport.
An integrated preamplifier runs from phantom power and connects through a direct XLR output. The microphone is offered either without a cable or with a 15 ft / 4.6 m XLR-XLR cable.
