The MPL 16-8 is a rack-mounted stagebox that adds 16 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs to a Dante network. It is intended as a lower-cost I/O option for compact, single-console systems, and is optimised for use with System T (including TCA) and SSL Live platforms.
The mic preamps cover a gain range of +5 dB to +60 dB in 1 dB steps. The unit runs at 48 kHz or 96 kHz, so it can fit into different installation types. It supports control from a single console, which keeps operation simple for dedicated systems.
For networking, it has Dante Primary and Secondary ports for redundancy, using etherCON RJ45 connectors. The chassis is 2U with a fanless design, so it runs silently, and it is described as rugged and portable for touring and installed use.
