System T S300

The S300 is the compact control surface in the System T family. It is available in three sizes, with 16+1, 32+1 or 48+1 faders, and connects to either a TE1 engine (256 paths at 48kHz) or a TE2 engine (800 paths at 48kHz). It runs the same software as the larger S500 console, so showfiles move freely between System T control surfaces. A compatibility mode lets an operator preselect which channel, bus and effects resources go inactive on a smaller engine, without losing the settings from the larger one.

The fader tile has fifteen layers with four banks per layer, giving access to 960 paths. Each strip has a 100mm motorised fader, PFL Solo key, Mute, AFL, Select and Q keys, plus Quick Controls (a push encoder and three assignable keys). The master section combines a monitor section, a focus fader and user keys in one tile, with a five-inch touchscreen FX rack meterviewer alongside. Loudness, True Peak and Phasescope metering are built in, and 21 physical user keys are provided.

System configuration, routing and surface layout are handled through touchscreens using Channel View and Overview screens. An HDMI output allows an external overview screen, and an optional screen arm is available. The console works with the wider System T range of control, processing and I/O options, including Dante-based networking.
