Beogram 4000c

The Beogram 4000c comes from Bang & Olufsen's Recreated Classics programme. Craftspeople at Factory 3 in Struer, Denmark clean, refurbish and fine-tune each unit by hand. The original Beogram 4000 was designed by Jacob Jensen in 1972 and combines brushed aluminium with warm wood in a minimalist form.

The turntable keeps the tangential tonearm, which holds the stylus in alignment with the groove. It also keeps the suspended chassis, which is meant to isolate the record from movement and vibration in the room. The recreated version has a new colour treatment in tones of honey, copper, ginger and amber.

The Beogram 4000c is also offered as part of the Beosystem 4000c, paired with Beolab 28 speakers. A Beoremote Halo controls the system. The turntable is described as connecting to the modern world, but the connection types are not detailed.
