The UMC202HD is a compact two-input, two-output USB recording interface. Its two combination XLR/TRS inputs accept microphones, guitars, bass, keyboards and line-level sources. Each input has a Midas-designed mic preamp, and +48 V phantom power is available for condenser microphones. Conversion runs at 24-bit resolution with sample rates up to 192 kHz, which also covers video post-production work.
A Direct Monitor switch provides zero-latency monitoring, so the performer hears the input signal without the delay that comes from passing through the computer. The headphone output has its own level control.
The unit connects to a Mac or Windows computer over a USB 2.0 port on the rear panel and works with DAW recording software. The rear panel also carries the 1/4" TRS output jacks and the switch for phantom power.
