The QX2442USB is a 4/2-bus mixer with 10 mono channels built around XENYX mic preamps, plus 4 stereo channels, 4 aux sends and 4 stereo aux returns. Each mono channel has a one-knob compressor with a status LED, an insert and a direct output. The channel EQ is a British-style design with a semi-parametric mid band.
A Klark Teknik 24-bit effects engine supplies reverb, chorus, flange, delay, pitch shift and other effects. It offers 32 presets with dual addressable parameters, a tap function and storable user settings. Four subgroups, main inserts for connecting graphic equalizers or compressor/limiters, and 8 direct outs plus sub outs make analog multitrack recording possible.
A built-in bi-directional stereo USB audio interface connects the mixer to a PC or Mac with a single cable, so any source on the mixer can be recorded to disk. Recording and editing software is included. A dedicated connection accepts the ULTRALINK ULM series digital 2.4 GHz wireless microphone receiver, which is ordered separately.
