Περιγραφή

The Basic V2 is a phono preamplifier with a switch on the underside to select moving-magnet or moving-coil operation. In MC mode the cartridge loading is fixed at a value intended to suit most demanding MC cartridges without further adjustment. Gain is 46 dB for MM and 66 dB for MC, measured at 1 kHz.

The case is milled from solid aluminium and comes in silver or black anodised finish. The only control on top is a power switch. A second underside switch engages a subsonic filter that cuts very low frequencies in both MM and MC modes, with a 20 Hz corner and an 18 dB per octave slope on each channel.

Input and output are on gold-plated unbalanced RCA (Cinch) sockets. Power comes from an external plug-in supply delivering ±18 V DC on a 1.4 m cable. The unit draws at most 3 W in use and under 0.3 W in standby. RIAA equalisation accuracy is specified at ±0.1 dB, and distortion below 0.002 %.
