The F1-5 is a two-way standmount loudspeaker that scales down the technology of the larger F1-8. A 125mm IsoFlare driver with a multi-fibre cone and a rubber FyneFlute surround is paired with a 19mm magnesium dome compression tweeter, so both sit at one point and radiate sound in the same pattern across the audio range.
The handcrafted cabinet stands on a compact machined aluminium plinth. The plinth houses the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser, which spreads the output of the downward-firing port. The cabinet is finished by hand in piano gloss walnut veneer with a burr walnut inlay. The crossover is a single-wired, low-loss design that has been deep cryogenically treated, and a presence control adjusts the upper midrange by up to 3dB either way.
The speaker connects through a single pair of terminals for standard single-wire cabling. It has an 8 ohm nominal impedance and 87dB sensitivity, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 100 watts RMS.
