The VR2-11214 is a passive mid/high speaker built around a 12" neodymium cone driver and a 1.4" B&C compression driver, split by a 990 Hz passive crossover with 12 dB/oct slopes. It handles 350 W RMS, 700 W program and 1400 W peak, with a 99 dB sensitivity and a maximum peak SPL of 129 dB. The frequency range is 72 Hz to 16 kHz at -6 dB.
The cabinet is birch plywood with a two-component textured coating inside and out, and a steel front grille with an anticorrosive coating and acoustic fabric. Three interchangeable horns (60° x 40°, 90° x 55° and an asymmetrical 60-90° x 55°) can each be rotated by 90° to match the room's coverage needs. The enclosure is certified for ball impact resistance (DIN 18032-3), rated IP 33 C as standard with an optional IP 55 version, and certified for voice alarm use as Type B for outdoor areas (EN 54-24:2008).
Connection is by screw terminals with a contact protection cover, with a second terminal pair for parallel output. Rigging points are M10 threads on the side, top, bottom and back. DSP presets and filter data are offered for Lab.gruppen, Lake, Powersoft, QSC Q-SYS and other platforms, plus a range of mounting accessories.
