The Cube2Nano S is a 2-in, 2-out USB audio interface that records and plays back at up to 24-bit/192kHz at the same time. It has a combo XLR/TRS input for microphones, line sources or instruments, plus a separate 6.35mm instrument input, 48V phantom power, and mic preamps with up to 60dB of gain. Outputs are two balanced 6.35mm line outs and a headphone output. Direct monitoring is switched on with an illuminated button.
A 1.3-inch colour TFT screen shows level meters for inputs, outputs and the OTG path, and coloured LED rings show input gain and headphone, OTG and master levels. Digital potentiometers can be adjusted from the front panel or from the iO Pro software, which also allows plugins to be used in a live or streaming context. BUMP and SHAPE buttons add low-end and high-end emphasis respectively.
The interface connects over USB 2.0 and takes its power from the bus, with a separate power input for computers that cannot supply enough. A UNI OTG output is provided for sending audio to streaming setups. It is class-compliant on macOS and Windows, is housed in a die-cast aluminium chassis with a rubber base, and comes with a bundle of software.
