The L100 MkII is a three-way passive speaker built around a 12-inch (300mm) Pure Pulp cone woofer with dual spider, a 5.25-inch (130mm) polymer-coated Pure Pulp midrange and a 1-inch (25mm) titanium dome tweeter behind an acoustic lens waveguide. It continues the look of the original Classic Series, with a satin walnut wood veneer cabinet and a Quadrex foam grille supplied in black, orange or blue.
The crossover has been revised so the speaker can be bi-wired or bi-amped. A terminal cup carries two sets of gold-plated binding posts for this. Two attenuators let the midrange and high-frequency levels be adjusted to suit the room and the listener's taste.
It is rated for amplifiers of 25-200 watts RMS into 4 ohms. JBL suggests its JS-120 or JS-150 stands, sold separately. Each speaker ships with two grilles and a quick start guide.
