The Ci160TS is a shallow-depth in-ceiling or in-wall speaker from KEF's Ci-T Series. It pairs a 115mm dual-layer mid/bass driver with a 25mm vented tweeter fitted with KEF's 'tangerine' waveguide, which is intended to give a natural high-frequency response and wide, even dispersion. A rigid flat diaphragm is used to keep the upper bass and midrange clean.
Mounting depth from the surface is under 36mm, so the speaker fits very restricted cavities such as narrow ceiling or wall spaces. It installs quickly on virtually any surface using a dogleg fixing. The Ultra-Thin Bezel is paintable and the grille is magnetic, so the speaker can be matched to the surrounding decor.
It is a passive 8 ohm speaker with 87dB sensitivity and a 1.7kHz crossover point, and it is connected to an amplifier rated for 10-100W. Cut-out size is 194 x 194mm and the speaker weighs 1.05kg.
