The Groove XL is a battery-powered portable speaker that plays music wirelessly from any Bluetooth-equipped device. Sound comes from two 2.5" full-range drivers handling the mids and highs, with two 3" passive radiators reinforcing the bass. Peak system power is 40 watts.
A lithium-ion battery gives up to 16.5 hours of playback. The enclosure has an IPX4 rating, so it tolerates splashes from any direction and light rain, which suits use by a pool, on a beach or on a patio.
Besides Bluetooth streaming, the speaker has an optional USB output that can keep a smartphone, tablet or other USB-connected music source charged while it plays. The charging cable is not supplied. A spec sheet and a product manual are available as downloads.
