The JTM45 2245 is a reissue of the original JTM45 design, built at the maker's factory in Bletchley, England. It uses a GZ34 valve rectifier together with ECC83 preamp valves and 5881 power valves. At low volume it gives clean, warm tones, and as the volume rises it moves into naturally overdriven valve sound.
The head has two bridgeable channels and four 1/4" instrument inputs with high and low sensitivity. The inputs can be combined to blend a clean and a crunch voice. Tone is shaped with Presence, Bass, Middle and Treble controls, plus Normal/Loudness II and High Treble/Loudness I controls. There is no onboard effects section and no effects loop, so pedals are placed in front of the amp.
Two 1/4" speaker outputs let you connect extension cabinets, with a selectable 16Ω, 8Ω or 4Ω load. The head comes in black and ships with a detachable power cable and a speaker cable.
