The Colourful Audio System E combines three components: the Debut E turntable, the Stereo Box E integrated amplifier and the Speaker Box 5 E Carbon two-way speakers. A pair of LS E Flex speaker cables, each 3 m long, is included for connecting the amplifier to the speakers. The system is offered in satin or real wood finishes.
The Debut E is a belt-drive turntable with electronic speed control for 33 and 45 rpm, plus 78 rpm using the supplied round belt. It has a 300 mm steel platter, a stainless steel axle in a bronze bushing and an 8.6" one-piece aluminium tonearm. The Stereo Box E delivers 2 x 40 W into 4 ohms and has a moving-magnet phono input, so the turntable connects directly.
The amplifier also accepts digital sources through coaxial and optical S/PDIF inputs, line-level analogue sources through RCA and 3.5 mm inputs, and Bluetooth audio with aptX and aptX HD. The speakers pair a 1" silk dome tweeter with a 5" carbon fibre glass woofer in an MDF bass-reflex cabinet with a rear-firing port.
