The Artera Pre is a fully analogue preamplifier controlled by a microprocessor and relay switching. It brings back the Tilt control, which shifts the tonal balance in 1dB steps around a 700Hz axis, making the sound warmer or cooler without changing apparent volume. Optional bass lift (+4.5dB around 60Hz) and bass cut (-4.5dB shelf) filters add further tailoring. Tilt and bass settings can be stored as an individual profile for each source input.
The unit has a low-noise Class A phono stage for MM and MC cartridges and a headphone amplifier with a discrete Class A output stage. Inputs are three line-level RCA, one phono RCA and one balanced XLR. Any input can run in direct mode, and a four-channel volume control keeps balanced signals balanced throughout. Input gain can be set between -8dB and +8dB in 0.5dB steps, and one line input can be set to AV bypass for use with an AV processor.
Outputs are balanced XLR, single-ended RCA and a fixed-level RCA, plus two 12V trigger outputs for switching other equipment. The housing is 32x32cm, with a textured aluminium front panel, a glass top, CNC-routed heat sinks and touch controls built into a circular OLED display. A remote control is included. There is no digital input or Bluetooth.
