The Digital Jockey is a USB-powered MIDI controller that combines a two-channel mixer section with two player sections for controlling DJ software on a computer. It sends up to 69 MIDI parameters from buttons, faders, encoders, push-rotaries, rotaries and two oversized, high-resolution jog wheels, and every control can be edited and reassigned.
The mixer section has a long-life crossfader, two line faders, two 3-band EQs with Push2Kill knobs and gain knobs. Each player section has a jog wheel and a long-life pitch fader, plus four assignable encoders and four buttons for effects and samples. A large Trax encoder with preview and A/B load buttons handles library browsing, and 42 buttons are backlit.
The unit connects and draws its power over USB, and a Kensington security slot is fitted. It ships with Reloop Attack and Traktor 3 LE, both pre-mapped, and a control overlay adapted to them. It works with Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista. The model is discontinued.
