NT6
The RØDE NT6 is a small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone with a detachable capsule head on a 3 m cable. It suits recording where a normal microphone body is hard to fit, such as tight or awkward mounting positions.

The NT6 splits the microphone into two parts: a compact head holding a 1/2-inch gold-sputtered condenser capsule, and a separate body holding the preamp. A custom 3-metre shielded cable reinforced with Kevlar joins the two. This lets the small head go where a full-size microphone would not fit.
The head has a multi-position mounting ring that rotates through 180 degrees vertically, which helps with aiming in difficult setups. The body's preamp has a two-stage high-pass filter, with an 80Hz setting, and a two-stage pad that includes a -10dB setting. These help with low-frequency rumble and loud sources.
