Περιγραφή
The SYSTEM-8 has its own synth engine with analog-style and digital oscillators (including SuperSaw and FM), several filter families and built-in effects. Models of the JUPITER-8, JUNO-106 and JX-3P are included as PLUG-OUT instruments, and the native engine can be layered or split with them.
The panel carries a large set of knobs, sliders and buttons with dimmable lighting. A sequencer with step and real-time recording and motion recording runs separately for the upper and lower layers. It offers up to 64 steps, along with arpeggio, chord memory and vocoder functions, and a pitch bend and modulation lever sits beside the 49-key velocity-sensitive keyboard.
A USB port carries both audio and MIDI, so the unit can act as an audio interface and as a controller for plug-in instruments. Standard MIDI in/out, CV/GATE outputs for modular and analog gear, stereo line in and out, pedal inputs and an SD card slot for backups complete the connections.
