Track One Mk3 is a half-rack-width-free 19-inch, one-unit channel strip that combines a microphone preamp with 48 V phantom power and a separate unbalanced instrument/line preamp. Mic gain reaches up to 63 dB, line gain runs from -12 dB to +22 dB and instrument gain from 0 dB to +35 dB. A 6 dB/octave highpass filter acts below 80 Hz.
The processing chain has an auto-threshold de-esser that is set with a single S-Reduction control, a compressor with automatic attack and release times and a 0 to -20 dB threshold, a make-up gain stage of up to 20 dB, and a soft-limiter mode. The equalizer has a semi-parametric low-mid band (30 Hz to 700 Hz, up to +/-14 dB), a mid-high band (680 Hz to 15 kHz, up to +/-12 dB) and a 19 kHz coil-capacitor Air band (+/-10 dB). Both bands use proportional-Q behavior.
The display shows S-detection, clip and signal LEDs, a PPM output meter and a gain reduction indicator. Connections are Neutrik XLR sockets, with a compressor link for stereo operation of two units. Line-level sources can be routed through it as an analog insert. A Premium version adds an optional mic input transformer.
