SSL 1
The SSL 1 is a compact 2-in/2-out USB-C audio interface with one SSL-designed mic preamp, a switchable instrument/line input and a high-current headphone output. It suits singer-songwriters, guitarists, beatmakers and streamers who record at home or on the move.

The SSL 1 pairs a single microphone preamp with a switchable instrument/line input, giving two channels in and two balanced monitor outputs. The preamp offers 48V phantom power, a high-pass filter and a Legacy 4K switch, which adds a controlled amount of harmonic distortion and a high-frequency lift modelled on the 4000-series console sound. Conversion is 32-bit at up to 192 kHz.
The front-panel headphone output is high-current, and a Mix button blends low-latency input monitoring with computer playback. Three stereo loopback channels are provided for capturing device audio when streaming or podcasting. The balanced outputs are DC-coupled, so they can also send control voltage to synths.
It connects over USB-C and is class-compliant on Mac and on USB Audio Class 2.0 mobile devices including iOS. Windows needs the supplied ASIO/WDM driver. Power comes from the computer's USB bus or from a 5V power bank or phone charger through the second USB-C port. The SSL Production Pack software bundle is included.
