CVS 401X
The CVS 401X is a 4-inch coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker for installed sound systems, from background music to foreground use. It suits restaurants, hotels, houses of worship and businesses, and carries EN 54-24 certification for fire detection and alarm systems.

The CVS 401X is a coaxial ceiling loudspeaker in the CVS 1.0 series, intended for background and foreground music and speech in commercial installations. It pairs a 100 mm (4.00") polypropylene full-range driver with a 0.75" ferrofluid-cooled soft dome high frequency driver. The cone is mineral loaded polypropylene with a butyl rubber surround, and the front is UV and weather resistant ABS rated UL 94-V0 and 94-5VB, with a plated steel fire can enclosure and a powder coated aluminium mesh grille.
It is certified to EN 54-24 for fire detection and fire alarm systems, UL 1480 for fire-protected signalling systems and UL 2043 for air-handling spaces. A custom low insertion loss 25 W line transformer with an accessible tapping switch is built in.
The speaker ships with a zinc-plated steel back can with a recessed termination box. A removable locking connector with screw terminals allows loop-through wiring, and a steel cover with strain relief clamp is included for fire rated cabling. Security toggle clamps speed up mounting, and two tile support rails and one C-ring are supplied. A plaster (mud) ring is available as an optional accessory. The finish is semi matt white.
