CVS 801X

The CVS 801X is a two-way coaxial in-ceiling speaker that combines a 200 mm (8.00") polypropylene full-range driver with a 1.0" ferrofluid-cooled soft dome high frequency driver. The cone is mineral-loaded polypropylene with a butyl rubber surround. It is intended for installations that need both music and speech reproduction with good reliability.

The front is a UV and weather resistant ABS moulding rated UL 94-V0 and 94-5VB, fitted to a plated steel fire can enclosure, with a powder coated aluminium mesh grille for dust protection. Certifications include EN 54-24 for fire detection and fire alarm systems, UL 1480 for fire-protected signalling systems and UL 2043 for air-handling spaces.

The unit ships with a zinc-plated steel back can and recessed termination box. A removable locking connector with screw terminals allows loop-through wiring, and a steel cover with strain relief clamp supports fire rated cabling. Security toggle clamps speed up mounting, and two tile support rails and one C-ring are included. A low insertion loss 60 W line transformer with an accessible tapping switch is fitted. A plaster (mud) ring is available as an optional accessory.
