Passive 480 W column loudspeaker with five 3.5" mid-range drivers, made for speech reinforcement in installed spaces such as transport hubs, worship venues and museums. It runs on low-Z or 70/100 V lines and has an outdoor-ready input panel.

The VLS 5 is a slim passive column array that places five 3.5" mid-range drivers in a vertical line to give clear speech coverage. It is rated at 480 W, covers 130 Hz to 15 kHz (-10 dB) and reaches a peak SPL of 116 dB at 1 m in low-Z mode. Dispersion is 130° horizontal by 45° vertical. It is aimed at speech-only duty in airports, train stations, conference centres, houses of worship, stadium concourses, museums, theme parks and hotels.
The enclosure is extruded aluminium with a stainless steel perforated grille and a semi matt black finish. It is UV and weather resistant, weighs 8.2 kg (18.1 lbs), and custom RAL colours can be ordered at extra cost and lead time. A flying bracket, wall mount bracket, input panel cover plate and a right-angled watertight cable gland are supplied for ceiling, wall or outdoor installation.
A tamper-resistant rotary switch on the rear panel selects low-Z, 70 V or 100 V operation. Transformer taps are 100, 50, 25 and 12.5 W, fed through a low insertion loss 100 W line transformer. Two internally paralleled barrier strips handle the connection and allow further loudspeakers to be linked.
