The MP-VT1 is a compact MP3 player aimed at practice. Playback speed can be slowed without altering pitch, sections can be looped without gaps between the in and out points, and songs can be shifted up or down to suit an instrument's tuning or a singer's range. A voice canceller with a selectable pan point and frequency band range reduces vocals in a track so the user can sing in their place.
A microphone input with a level control and a balance control between mic and playback lets the user sing or play along, with built-in reverb and echo on the input. A tuner and metronome are also included, with a dedicated metronome key on the front panel. Navigation uses a data wheel, dedicated buttons and a 128x64 graphic LCD. Auto Power Off and a Hold function are provided.
Songs are loaded over a USB jack, which also charges the built-in lithium ion battery rated for 9 hours. An optional power supply is available. Audio output is through a 1/8" headphone jack. The unit measures 78 x 110 x 25.5 mm and weighs 220 g with the battery. Memory holds about 240 four-minute MP3s encoded at 128 kbps. Firmware updates were released for it, and the model is now discontinued.
